The Launching of 350th Death Anniversary of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac
 
 
 
             The Vincentian family in Camarines Sur launched the 350th Death Anniversary of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac last September 25, 4 PM at the St. John de Evangelist Cathedral, in a MASS concelebrated by the Vincentian Fathers: Fr. Bien Dulfo, C.M., Fr. Dave Dulfo, C.M., Fr. Vhong Navarro, CM and 7 Diocesan Priests. It was followed by a procession participated in by members of the Vincentian Family from Universidad de Sta Isabel, St. Louise de Marillac School , Pili, USI Mother Seton Hospital, Magnificat Home and Vincentian Mission Center in Cadlan, Pili.

             Series of formation sessions/ orientations in preparation for the said launching was done by the Vincentian Formation Team with Sr. Josie B. Onag, DC giving the formation session for the 350th Celebration theme, “MISSION- CHARITY”, Vincentian Spirituality and Vincentian Saints and Blessed and Ms. Ines Merilles for the Vincentian Family.

             A Radio Program at the Radio Caritas Marie at DVRB 98.3 FM The Mother’s Touch Station in honor of the 350th Anniversary of St. Vincent and St. Louise featuring the lives of Vincentian Saints and Blessed is hosted by Sr. Virginia Nacional, DC from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm from September to December 2009 --- starting September 23(St. Louise de Marillac), September 25 (St. Vincent de Paul and Blessed Frederic Ozanam), September 29 (St. John Gabriel Perboyre), October 2 (Blessed Marie Ann Vaillot and Odile Baumgarten-Martyrs of Arras), October 7 (Blessed Rosalie Rendu and Feast of the Holy Rosary), October 9 (St Francis Regis Clet and St. Jeanne Antide Thouret), October 14 (Blessed Marie Madeleine Fontaine, Marie Francoise Lanel and Jeanne Gerard – Martyrs of Cambrai), October 16 (St. Justin de Jacobis), October 21 (Blessed Ghebre Michael), October 23 (Blessed Louis Francois, John Henri Gruyer, John Charles Caron, Nicolas Colin and Pierre Rene Rogue), November 28 (St. Catherine Laboure and the Miraculous Medal) and finally on December 2009 (Blessed Giuseppina Nicoli , Blessed Lindalva, Justo de Oliveira and Blessed Anna Marta Wiecka, Daughters of Charity.).

             St Vincent de Paul’s Feast day was celebrated last September 26 in the different partner barangays by the students, faculty and administrators. Masses were held in honor of St. Vincent at their respective Barangay Chapels and Parish Church for Bato, town in Camarines Sur. Games and interactive activities were done and followed by an AGAPE lunch shared between the Vincentian Family and the residents of partner communities. Gift-Giving and socialization activities with the elderly were also conducted at Villa Marillac.

             On September 27, 2009, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP)-St. Elizabeth of Hungary Conference implemented the USI Feeding Program. At the same time, the SSVP-Christ the King Conference at Bacong, Ligao, Albay conducted a CPR Training for Barangay Volunteers. The completion of the last phase of the Water Supply Project, and the Feeding of Grade 1 pupils of Bacong Elementary School were also undertaken. The SSVP-Miraculous Medal Conference and SSVP-St. Therese of the Child Jesus Conference respectively undertook Feeding activities at Prosamapi, Palestina, Pili and Gift-Giving at the Naga City Jail with the Daughters of Charity, Ladies of Charity and Vincentian Fathers.
