Basic Education Department

Students from the USI Basic Education Department (Lower and Upper) are silver medal awardees of the 2nd Sharp-MTG (Mathematics Trainers Guild) Math Trail and Problem Solving Competition and the Sharp-MTG Whiz Kid Challenge Regional Finals. The Silver Medalists are Russel Avery Roco (Suduko Challenge Champion, SM Naga, October 24, 2009), Tatyana Mae Gonzaga, Francia Molina, Ina Francesca Caramoan.

The four winners also qualified for the International Sharp-MTG Whiz Kid Challenge on November 28, 2009 at Iloilo.

The Naga competition was held October 23, 2009 at the Hope Christian School, Naga City. The USI coaches are Mr. Sandy Lerio, Ms Marizza Piol, and Ms Mary Herras.
