The new directors of the USI Alumni Association (USIAA) elected among themselves the officers for 2010-2012, on 20 February 2010, at the Bishop Gainza Gallery of the Universidad de Sta. Isabel. Elected were Fabiana A. Arejola, president; Penelope Aguirre-Abustan, VP (internal); Agnes Sta. Isabel-Bascuna, VP (external): Rosa Reyes-Maestro, secretary; Teresita Lacerna-Natividad, treasurer; Maria Melrose Dihiansan-Macandog, auditor; and Glicerio V. Valenciano, PIO.

The board of directors includes Rose Marie Sonia Ramos-Avenilla, Yolanda P. Beguia, Angelica C. Maristela, Ma. Francia Asuncion D. Nunez, Nathalie Theresa Ciudadano-Ranin, Lilibeth Llacer-Sanchez, Rosalinda Rivero-Segarra and Mary Genevieve Claro-Sia. Sanchez takes the place of Raquel V. Ragragio, who resigned from the board after the election of officers.

After the election, Sr. Ma. Asuncion G. Evidente, DC, USI president, administered the oath of office of the officers and directors. Witnessing the event were Sr. Milagros Magistrado, DC, USIAA sister animator, Mrs. Myrna C. Nocos, USIAA immediate past president, and Dr. Aida P.Osea, USIAA COMELEC chair.

In her message later, Sister Asuncion reminded the officers and directors that people will be looking up to them as the embodiment of the ideals of the University and the alumni association. She exhorted them to work collaboratively with the University, giving due respect to whoever serve as university president and sister animator. Commending the immediate past officers for their activities, she encouraged a more sustained effort that reaches out to all sectors, critical collaboration with the government, well-felt collaboration with the Church and NGOs, and service that gives the best of themselves in common projects.
