February 12 and 13 were official Alumni Homecoming days for USI alumni. It was the 70th homecoming event and the Coral Jubilarians (CSI H. S. Batch ‘75 – the SEC-registered “The Phenomenal Women” group) practically hosted the event with live bands, give-aways, pa-raffles, footing a generous slice of the homecoming tabs. The rest of the Jubilarians contributed their own brand of uproars, loyalty glitz, and senti classmates bonding, some as early as February 8, the start of homecoming week, unto Valentine’s Day. The Sapphire Jubilarians (CSI H.S. Batch ’65 – the Bicol Culture advocates group) made an instant Ten Thousand pesos plus-donation for the construction of the University Chapel, generated from the “taradikan” of their “Pantominang Catanduanes” Batch Pakulo number.
The rest of the Jubilarians were not out-shined however, and they are: Class 1950 (Diamond), Class l960 (Golden), Class 1955 (Emerald), Class 1970 (Ruby), Class 1980 (Pearl), and Class 1985 (Silver).
“Forward, forward dear USI…”
