iBED Night High School Program

To accomplish its mission and realize its vision, the SLMAP have the following objectives:

  1. To provide a Christian Vincentian Education; a) that is anchored on the tenets of God as the origin and center of one's life; b) that will make students aware of their Filipino identity; and c) appreciate and promote one's culture, history, and traditions.
  2. Enable learners acquire mastery of knowledge, understanding, basic skills and attitudes necessary for college level education; proficiency in written and oral communication, comprehension skills, critical reflection, thinking skills, ability to relate with people from all walks of life.
  3. Train students to acquire desirable habits of cleanliness and orderliness; practice honesty, thriftiness and punctuality; and show cheerfulness, gentleness and refinement in manners, exhibit social graces; and promote health practices as growing young Filipinos.
  4. Provide learning experiences that will promote respect and service for the poor.
  5. Make Vincentian secondary education available to young girls who, by circumstance of poverty, do not have the financial capacity to enroll in the regular day classes.

The iBED Night High School Program is a 5-year night high school program intended for deserving yet economically deprived students who are yayas or household helpers who need to work to support their families and therefore are unable to join the regular public high school accorded by government.

These programs are a means by which quality Vincentian Education becomes accessible for the young amongst the margins of Philippine Society.
