RESEARCH AND INTERNATIONAL LINKAGES OFFICE
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Office of the Research and International Linkages leads initiatives and provides services to enhance the pursuit of academic research in an environment adhering to the highest standards of scholarship. It also initiates the exploration of linkages with foreign entities in the form of research collaborations, sponsorship of conferences, faculty and student exchanges, scholarships, and grants. These functions shall bring about a more dynamic and relevant higher educational institution which is geared towards internationalization.
VISION
The Research and International Linkages Office shares the university’s vision of attaining excellence in its programs and services through collaborative and responsive quality research geared towards the integral development of the stakeholders and improvement of quality of life of Bicolanos.
The RILO commits to produce quality research adhering to ethical standards that lead to the production and utilization of generated knowledge and technology that are responsive to the needs of the society especially the underprivileged.
MISSION
OBJECTIVES
Through the synergistic endeavor of all units of One USI, the RILO aims to:
1. Enhance the research capabilities of personnel through relevant research capability-building activities
2. Produce quality research aligned with the priorities and plans of the university and other institutions such as: CHED, DepEd, TESDA, DOST, DOH, and Regional Consortia such as: BCHRD and BCIEERD
3. Strengthen partnership and networks within and outside the region towards sustainable Research and Development programs in order to meet global specifications; and
4. Provide wide dissemination and proper utilization of generated knowledge and technology.
